Total Life Change And Wellman Shew’s Dedication To Helping Those In Crisis

Overcoming drug and alcohol addiction presents many challenges, and Wellman Shew is committed to helping those living with substance use disorder get the high-quality care they need to begin their sobriety. Shew was recently elected to the Board of Directors at Total Life Change Inc., a faith-based treatment facility designed to help people who want to overcome addiction, learn crisis management skills, overcome codependency, manage anger, and take a new lease on life.

Total Life Change Inc. Services

Wellman Shew and the rest of the Board of Directors at Total Life Change Inc. are proud to offer life improvement services to their community, including addiction treatment, crisis care, and more. Shew is well-known for his faith-based efforts to help those in the Fresno and Clovis areas improve their lives.

Intensive Outpatient Programming

Intensive outpatient programming, or IOP, is offered to help clients at Total Life Change overcome chemical addiction. Many people who want to begin rehabilitative services are unable to attend a residential program due to family and other responsibilities. In many cases, outpatient services can provide an appropriate level of care for people living with addiction. Intensive outpatient programs allow patients to receive the care that they need during the day while still going home at night. At Total Life Change, IOP participants receive individual and group counseling, 12-step programming, and substance abuse education.

Crisis Group Workshop

Issues associated with addiction reach far beyond the person suffering from substance use disorder. Wellman Shew and other members of the Board of Directors at Total Life Change recognize this and are proud to offer a crisis group workshop for those affected by a loved one’s addiction.

Codependency Family Group

Often, a change in family dynamics can help people living with addiction to gain and maintain their sobriety. Codependency is at the root of many tough family issues that contribute to struggles with addiction. Often, addiction makes other family members feel like they’re responsible for the person living with addiction, and this dynamic can make it difficult for the person with the addiction to take responsibility for their sobriety and well-being. At Total Life Change, family members can work with others in similar positions to develop the strategies necessary to overcome codependency and develop healthier interpersonal relationships.

Anger Management

Anger is a natural and acceptable part of life, but some people struggle to express and manage anger in healthy ways. The anger management program at Total Life Change offers participants a 12 or 24-week course that helps them learn new coping strategies and anger management techniques that can help them thrive in all areas of life.
